Back to St Abbs on the Berwickshire coast, in the late summer of 2020. Five dives, to 30 m, in 12 °C water.
The walls and ledges were thick with dead men’s fingers in pinks, whites and oranges, with plumose anemones among them. An edible crab was wedged into a crack, and a lobster sat at the mouth of its hole. The water was green, but that’s the North Sea.
