about
intro
I’m Jack: a Technical Architect by day, a PADI Assistant Instructor and EFR Instructor by choice, and based in Leeds. I’ve been building things on the internet since my first site in 1997, and spent the next twenty-odd years writing software at Oracle, Sky and Anaplan before joining Aera Technology.
Underwater I teach, and spend as much time as I can with a camera looking for the small and strange: frogfish, pygmy seahorses, mantis shrimp, and the occasional tiger shark. This site is home to those trip reports, quick notes on tech problems I’ve had to solve, every flight and every dive I’ve logged, and the archive of a blog I’ve kept since 2006.
